Q. Do I have to be a member of the NRA to attend?
A. No, for this event, non-members may attend. It's a great chance to see part of the NRA in action.

Q. Can I buy my ticket at the door?
A. Maybe, but we sold out in advance last year and we strive to be sold out every year. Buy your tickets early, get an extra chance at a "first shot" firearm!

Q. Do I have to be present to win?
A. Yes, except in the case of a sponsorship drawing.

Q. What is the "First Shot" drawing?
A. Those that purchase their banquet tickets (postmarked) before March 26, 2012 will have his/her name entered in the "First Shot" drawing for a S&W M&P handgun in 40SW.

Q. What happens if I win a firearm?
A. You will have to pass the required background check, fill out the proper forms and bring a pistol permit or CCW permit in case you win.

Q. How do I sign up?
A. If you didn't get the mailing, here's a copy of our campaign letter. Just print it out and send it in!

Q. Every time I go downtown I get lost. Can I have a map of downtown Raleigh?
A. Why sure you can. Click here!

To attend our event, you purchase a dinner ticket for $40 for each person attending. This dinner ticket gets you in the door, dinner, and a chance to win a gun for early registration.

If you buy a sponsorship for $250, you get your name put in a drawing with all the other sponsors for some outstanding odds of winning a gun. If we have 100 sponsors, there will be 10 guns that will be given away that you have a chance to win. If your name is pulled first from the drawing, you get first pick of one of the ten guns. If your name is pulled fifth from the drawing, then you get your choice of the remaining six guns. So on and so on till all ten guns are given away.

Your meal isn't included with a sponsorship. You must purchase a separate dinner ticket for $40 to attend the event and get a meal.

Sponsorships have a goods and services value of $100.00 each. Bucket raffle tickets have a value of $4 each. You have a choice: get the statue or get 15 bucket raffle tickets. Bucket raffle tickets can be put in the bucket raffle. The bucket raffle has several guns and other merchandise that have a bucket for each item. You can put the 15 bucket raffle tickets in whichever bucket for the item you would like to win. If we have 20 guns and 15 other items of merchandise, you get to choose where to put your bucket tickets. You will have the opportunity to purchase more bucket raffle tickets at the event if you come. You must be present to win a bucket raffle item. One bucket raffle ticket will be pulled from a bucket for each item, if it is your ticket, you win the item.

Q. Is my sponsorship tax deductible?
A. Yes, the 2012 sponsorship carries a tax deduction of $150.00

Q. Can I join the GTFNRA Committee?
A. Yes. We are always looking to expand our committee and welcome new members.

Q. Where can I get a pistol permit?
A. Fill out this permit application and take it to the Wake County Sheriff's department.

Q. I'm running for office, can I come to the event and campaign?
A. We are happy to have office seekers and holders attend our event, however we are non-partisan and do not endorse candidates. Further, please do not pass out campaign material during our event. That being said, it can't hurt to be seen at our event.
